Only thanks to the two men whose names were Johnson D. and Alan Scott the dog stayed alive and even has gained the popularity. The dogs that have the `Johnson' name are considered "Johnson type". The other type is called accordingly called 'Scott type’ that also had a name standard type up to the year 1997.
